A dog is often like a family member, I know for my family, my dog is one of the reasons why we got a security system. Often, the intruder is someone who knows you, and your dogs. I know, we rather have  our posessions stolen then our family dog. Ever time  someones tells me they have a pet we suggest to get a monitored fire alarm with their home alarm system. If there’s a fire your dog can’t call the fire department. A monitored fire alarm can.
